Before-School Elementary Program

Open to K1-5th Graders at Josiah Quincy Elementary School

The Before-School Program at Josiah Quincy Elementary School offers students the opportunity to participate in large ensemble rehearsals, small sectional rehearsals, and private lessons. Over the course of the year, students will:

Develop technique & musical skills on their instrument
Develop social-emotional skills through integrated curriculum
Explore basics of composition & compose original music
Listen to & learn music from diverse styles & genres
Participate in orchestral & chamber music projects
Before school Monday through Friday
10 : 1 Student-teacher ratio
Regular performance and outreach event opportunities
Violin, Viola, Cello, & String Bass Offered
K1/K2 Students will participate in BMP's signature Paper Orchestra project
5th Grade Students will engage in the BMP Leadership Program

Tuition and Schedule

36 weeks of programming, September - June*
*BMP schedule follows BPS School Calendar
Monday through Friday
7:45am drop-off; 8:05am - 9:15am program
Direct transition to school day at 9:15am
Tuition includes string instrument rental
Tuition: $1,620/year ($45/week)**
$45 registration fee
Reduced fee for summer instrument rental
