In-School Partnerships

In-School BPS Partnership Programs

Boston Music Project is proud to be a BPS Portfolio Partner Organization providing tuition-free in-school programming at select Bosotn Public Schools sites.

Current Partnership Programs

Beethoven Ensemble | Josiah Quincy Elementary School

We believe that all children should have access to high-quality music education. Our Beethoven Ensemble provides youth with unique physical and cognitive learning needs to find joy and community through music-making. Youth will take part in general music lessons three times weekly, taught by one of our professionally-trained special education teaching artists.

At the Oliver Hazard Perry School in South Boston, BMP will provide weekly in-school music education for the entire school population beginning in the fall of 2021. Programming will include early childhood music education (K thru 2nd grade), digital music composition (2nd thru 6th grade), to ensemble-based instrumental instruction (4th thru 6th grade).

In-School Music Education | The Clapp School

Roger Clap School shares BMP’s vision of providing equitable access to high-quality learning regardless of one's socio-economic history. Due to the small school population (178 students), the Clap at this time lacks the financial resources to hire a music specialists through BPS. Beginning in the fall of 2021, BMP will provide weekly in-school instrumental music instruction to students in grades 4 and 5.
