In-School Partnership Programs

Boston Music Project is proud to be a BPS Portfolio Partner Organization providing tuition-free in-school programming at select Boston Public Schools sites. These programs include early childhood general music, special education music, digital music composition, and instrumental music ranging from strings to brass and winds.

Early Childhood Music

Students in BMP early childhood music classes unleash their musical creativity, while developing instrumental skills, and gaining new skills in music composition, improvisation, and active listening. Our unique curriculum fosters the development of social-emotional skills empowering students find success in music, school, and life.

Special Education Music

We believe that all children should have access to high-quality music education. Our special education music classes provide youth with unique physical and cognitive learning needs the opportunity to find joy and community through music-making.

Digital Music Composition
Students in our D.M.C. programs develop their skills in all areas of music production, including electronic music composition and theory and digital audio production. As students progress through the program they learn more about sound engineering, recording industry laws and ethics, and streaming/promoting original music.
