Our 5-Day Creative Mornings course offers students the opportunity to unleash their creativity in small-group sessions divided by age and musical ability.
Each day, students will:
- Explore fun music technology software on their computers;
- Learn how to improvise and create melodies on their instruments;
- Compose their own original music;
- Listen to and learn about music from various styles and genres, and;
- Doodle to music while learning about the connections between visual art and music.
In addition to the morning sessions, each child will receive a weekly 30-minute private lesson from one of our professionally-trained Teaching Artists. By the end of the course, students will strengthen their instrumental playing skills, learn to compose their own original melodies, and be exposed to various genres of music.
Please note, these sessions will require students to connect via Zoom. We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer for the small-group sessions. Mobile devices may also be used for private lessons, if necessary.
*Private lessons* will be scheduled at the convenience of the family and assigned Teaching Artist.
**Financial assistance** is available to families in need. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
