A first-of-its-kind for the City of Boston! Youth Fest! is the city's first
youth festival by, with, and for Boston youth.
(And, it was so nice we did it twice!)
Featuring culminating and original performances by BMP's Music Workforce Apprenticeship teens, with invited youth organizations, all took the stage in the streets of Boston, in Downtown Crossing on August 14 and Seaport Commons on October 19. Performances by youth rock and funk bands, brass bands, classical strings, and DJ sets, and headliner performances by local R&B singer Miranda Rae and saxophonist Jonathan Suazo.
Our FREE day-long festival featured Boston’s most talented up-and-coming youth musicians and artists was a big success and toe-tapping community activation for Bostonians.

We invite you to participate in Youth Fest! in several meaningful ways. Please complete the form below by September 5th and a member of our Youth Fest! team will be in touch with you!

Perform! Submit a short audition video. Share your talents whether through music, dance or other forms of artistic expression. Our Youth Party! selection committee will review your submission and select the young artists by September 10.

Sell! Youth artists, craftspeople, and small business owners are invited to sell their products during the festival.

Represent! Organizations can represent your SuccessLink organization by tabling and/or leading an activation for the audience to take part in.

About Youth Fest!
A first-of-its-kind for the City of Boston! Featuring fellow youth organizations on the stage and in the street's of Boston Seaport Common, September 21st!
Youth Fest! is the city's first youth festival by, with, and for Boston youth. This FREE festival for all ages will feature Boston’s most talented up-and-coming youth musicians and artists. The day-long festival, sponsored by WS Development, will take place on Seaport Common on Saturday, September 21 from 2 to 8pm, featuring performances by youth rock and funk bands, brass bands, classical strings, and DJ sets. The evening will conclude with a headliner performance by local R&B singer Miranda Rae from 6:30 to 8:00pm. A variety of food and beverage options will be present throughout the day with details to come.
Youth Fest! Is powered by Boston Music Project, a local non-profit providing over 2,300 youth with weekly before, after, and in-school music education across 23 partnerships with a team of 56 talented teaching artists.

Performing Arts Center
North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is a 501(c)(3) community music school and performing arts center. We exist to enrich Charlestown, the North End, and surrounding Boston neighborhoods with accessible, high-quality arts programming and performances.
YMCA of Greater Boston
We strive to address a gap in formal, structured workforce preparation by hiring young people in positions across the YMCA and supporting their development of workforce skills, ranging from time management to career exploration. We partner with PIC, ABCD, and SuccessLink to provide as many employment placements as possible.
Beat The Odds
Beat the Odds is dedicated to serving under-resourced youth (ages 14-24) in Boston's low-income communities through its Creative Youth Development Program. We provide students with a unique opportunity to explore their creativity and unlock their hidden talents. Our mission is to provide a safe space, where young people have access to the creative tools necessary to inspire self-awareness and encourage mental health and healing from trauma through music and arts.
617Peak
617Peak is an arts non-profit providing Boston youth with platforms for creative expression. Our organization supports youth through writing, music, and literacy; while providing them space to create, perform, and develop. We serve middle and high school students in communities of color throughout the greater Boston area. We promote literacy and creativity amongst peers, aiming to create more avenues and resources for students in inner cities, empowering them to be autonomous in their future successes.

Jobs Corps
Job Corps is a free vocational and educational training program. Our mission is to teach young people the skills they need to live on their own and obtain a career in field of choice. Students are able to earn their high school diploma or GED, alongside training in such industries as Automotive and Machine Repair, Construction, Finance and Business, Health Care, Homeland Security, Hospitality, Information Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Renewable Resources and Energy, and Transportation.
Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA)
The Institute of Contemporary Art is an art museum and exhibition space located in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. The museum was founded as the Boston Museum of Modern Art in 1936. Since then it has gone through multiple name changes as well as moving its galleries and support spaces over 13 times.
