關於我們

Are you passionate about creativity, community, and creating opportunities for young people? Come play a part in something extraordinary.

Boston Music Project began in 2011 as a before-school music program for a handful of Boston students. Today, we’re a citywide movement—serving 2,300+ youth across 32 schools and community sites each week, with a dynamic team of 65 teaching artists. We use music education as a vehicle for social-emotional learning, academic engagement, and community connection—and we’re just getting started.

As we scale our impact, we’re looking for bold, curious, and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors. If you believe in the power of music to transform lives, we want you on our team.

Why join the BMP Board?

  • Make meaningful impact. Help bring high-quality, equity-driven music education to Boston youth.

  • Use your superpowers. Whether you’re a connector, strategist, creative thinker, or numbers person—your skills matter here.

  • Grow your network. Collaborate with civic leaders, artists, educators, and innovators.

  • Get the inside scoop. Be the first to hear about our youth-led concerts, guest artists (Ed Sheeran, anyone?), and bold community initiatives like Youth Fest.

  • Have fun while doing good. We’re a joyful bunch. Expect laughter, purpose, and maybe even a spontaneous jam session.
