Make Music Boston Day is a music festival like no other. Free and open to the public, it brings together young people, families, musicians and music aficionados, locals and tourists alike. Taking place annually on the summer solstice, music welcomes summer to the city, filling the streets of Boston with live music performances for Bostonians of all ages, featuring local youth and professional musicians.

Each June 21st, over a dozen musical performances and activities descend across the city across popular locations: a full musical takeover of the highly-foot-trafficked Faneuil Hall Marketplace; activations in Boston’s Seaport, featuring three hours of Music + Movement popups for children ages 2-12 and their families; and band performances, including by BMP youth, at the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
