John Glennon | Brass Teaching Artist, STEAM, Digital Music, and Early Childhood Music Curriculum Specialist
John Glennon is Boston based musician, music educator, musical arranger, and brass pedagogue. Glennon has had wonderful performance opportunities across the globe throughout his performative career thus far. Highlights include sitting principal trumpet for the Aruba Symphony Festival in Oranjestad, Aruba, appearing as a featured soloist at The Kennedy Center Main Stage, sitting lead trumpet for two cruise-line theater orchestras with Celebrity Cruises, and performing alongside Ed Sheeran. In addition to having a lively performative career, Glennon has most recently began building an extensive educational career as well. From 2021-2023 Glennon taught at The Joyce Kilmer K-8 School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Here, Glennon had created a sequential K1-5th grade general music curriculum that guides students toward efficacy in music composition, improvisation, music literacy, and performing. Through forging relationships with outside partnerships, Glennon has provided his students grades 3rd-8th with free instrumental lessons and instrument rentals. Glennon has most recently accepted a position with The Boston Music Project as their Early Childhood Music Specialist, Trumpet Instructor, Digital Music Composition Instructor, STEAM Instructor, and Teaching Artist.
