BMP Artist Faculty to Perform with the Boston New Music Festival This Saturday

This Saturday, November 14th at 8pm, Boston Music Project Teaching Artist and Cellist Minjin Chung will perform with members of the Juventas New Music Ensemble as part of the Virtual Boston New Music Festival. This livestreamed concert is titled “The Voice of the Rain,” and features music inspired by autumn and nature. The performance is free, and no registration is required. Watch it here tomorrow night!

The Boston New Music Festival showcases Boston's vibrant contemporary music scene, founded and facilitated biennially by Juventas New Music Ensemble. In light of COVID-19, it is re-envisioning itself in a new virtual format. The 2020 Virtual Boston New Music Festival (vBNMF) will run through November 15, 2020, with many different ensembles performing. This year's virtual format will allow a global audience to immerse themselves in the city's music scene for the first time. Since people can't be together physically, vBNMF will offer a much needed opportunity for Boston’s local ensembles to come together and support one another during this challenging time, creating a stronger community of music making that will extend far beyond the end of the current crisis.

To get a sneak preview of what to expect tomorrow night, watch Minjin Chung performing Mari Kotskyy’s piano trio “Reminiscence” with the Juventas New Music Ensemble:
