Mayor's Enchanted Trolley Tour & Tree Lightings

The Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour and Tree Lighting is an annual traditional that kicks off the holiday season in each borough of Boston. This year in Chinatown, Josiah Quincy Elementary students took to the stage performing holiday classics in English and Mandarin and our BMP K1/K2 Mozart Orchestra presented a very special gift to the Mayor. Every year, our young first-year musicians build paper instruments that they use to develop their musicianship skills. With the invitation to perform at this year’s Chinatown Tree Lighting, our students and families made an extra paper violin for the Mayor and presented it to him as a thank you for his support of the arts and education in our Boston community.
