Our Leadership


Daniela Nupan | Director at JP Manning & Croft
Daniela Andrea Nupan Itaz is a Colombian violinist and music educator with a distinguished career in teaching and performing throughout Latin America and the United States. Born in Popayán, she graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree (2018) and a Bachelor of Music (Instrumental Performance) degree with a specialization in violin (2021) from the University of Cauca. She subsequently earned a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Boston, Massachusetts.
Her teaching experience includes positions at the Salta Cecilia Music School, the Batuta Foundation in Buenaventura, the Caucamerata and Aires de Pubenza foundations, and the social outreach program, the Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia. In the United States, she has served as an adjunct instructor at Cambridge Latin School and Somerville El Sistema, and she currently teaches violin at the Moab Academy of Music and the Boston Music Project, where she combines artistic instruction with the holistic development of young musicians.
As a performer, she has been a member of ensembles such as the Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia, the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra, the Du Bois Orchestra, the Boston Civic Symphony, the Brookline Symphony Orchestra, and the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra.
With artistic excellence and a commitment to social responsibility, Daniela is establishing herself as a leading violinist and educator.
