BMP Teaching Artist Bengisu Gokce shares a fun music pick to listen to this weekend that has inspired her as a musician.
“This version of “Tea For Two” was the first jazz tune I have ever listened to when I was a student at the conservatory. I really love this version because it features my favorite violinists from two of my favorite genres; great classical violinist Yehudi Menuhin and great gypsy jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli. When I found out about this recording, a new door was opened to me; there is so much more that I can do on my violin and I should go to a place where I can make it happen. I can definitely say that “Tea For Two" by Yehudi Menuhin and Stéphane Grappelli is one of the reasons that I decided to pursue my music education in the United States.”
