This summer, take music lessons from BMP Teaching Artists at The Record Co. and YMCA, dance the night away to a live Salsa band at our Sound Bites Series with the Trustees, and toast marshmallows while enjoying live music at our Campsite Concert Series with the DCR and REI.
Summer never sounded so good and we can't wait to see you!
Take private music lessons OR unleash your creativity in a one-of-a-kind summer music experience that blends orchestral instruments, contemporary hip-hop, and music production at The Record Co. Students will strengthen their instrumental skills & ensemble playing through an in-depth study of technique and musicianship in one of two experiences - a classical chamber string ensemble and our hip-hip orchestra. Limited seats are available. Ensembles will be grouped by age & experience level.
Thursdays in July and August from 6pm-8pm, the Boston Music Project (BMP) and REI will host a series of free music performances as part of the DCR's Summer Nights programming. During the event, you can enjoy live music, outdoor games/activities, and story-telling with s'mores*.
Bring a blanket and friends to enjoy a variety of local artists that reflect the diversity and eclectic sounds of BMP and Greater Boston.
*Registration will reserve your spot and 1 (one) s'mores kit for each guest. Quantities are limited and registration is required.
Join the Boston Music Project and the Esplanade Association at the Stoneman Playground on the Esplanade for family-friendly music and movement programming for children and families of all ages!
Music and Movement is a free summer-long, interactive music program at the Stoneman Playground designed for children and their caregivers. Each week, children will sing songs, dance to music, and enjoy storytime led by trained Boston Music Project teaching artists. Caregivers are encouraged to attend and take part in the music games with their children.
Music and Movement sessions will be 45 minutes long and take place on the hour from 10am to 12pm every Friday at the Stoneman Playground from July 15 through September 2.
This summer, we are partnering with the Wang YMCA to bring digital music production classes and a summer rock band to their summer programming.
Spending your summer with Boston Music Project (BMP) sounds like an exciting and enriching experience!
